Won’t Be Getting Free ISBN Number for KDP No/Low Contents
Hey there, if you are in KDP Publishing Business then I’m sure you know that Kindle Direct Publishing provides ISBN free of cost to KDP book creators
but sadly from May 17, it won’t
Of course, if you’re publishing ebooks, paperback, or hardcover books/novels you’ll still get an ISBN number for free
But If you are publishing no content books like notebooks, journals, or low content books like activity books, logbooks, planners, etc then you won’t be getting Free ISBN numbers, you can either pay for ISBN or publish your book without an ISBN Number
Now you might be thinking, why I’m talking about KDP?
Well KDP is an amazing & interesting way to make money online
I’ll be doing a separate series on what is KDP & how to publish your books, journals, etc on KDP & make money from KDP shortly but here I’m just gonna give you a small intro
What Is KDP?
Kindle Direct Publishing is Amazon.com’s book self-publishing platform launched in November 2007
In short, KDP provides you a platform where you can publish your books(frictional/non frictional) & get the exposure you need to build your career as an author & it is absolutely free
Also, You can use KDP to create an online business even if you are not in the writing field & that is by publishing NO content/low content books like coloring books, lined journals, notebooks, sketchbooks, logbooks, gratitude journals, college ruled/wide-ruled notebooks, personal diaries, planners, etc
You can create these books using Canva & Creative Fabrica & again it is free
I started the KDP business in November 2021 & I’m making decent money from it
