Make Money Designing Facebook Cover
Hey Guys, I’m super happy to share with you that we are starting the freelancing series today
The first freelancing gig idea that I’m sharing with you today that even beginners can do is designing Facebook covers
Before we get into how much can you get paid & how to do it, let’s get the basics right
What is Freelancing?
Freelancing is a type of self-employment. Instead of being employed by a company full time, freelancers work on a particular task for a particular period of time
For example: If I’m in need of an article & I don’t want a full-time writer to work under me, I could easily go to freelancing sites like Fiverr, PeoplePerHour & hire someone to write just 1 particular article for me
I hope this is clear
Easy Freelancing Job For Beginners – Design Facebook Cover
Gone are the days when people used to use stock photos or families pics as Facebook covers
Due to the power of Facebook organic marketing, nowadays people are using professional facebook covers to get more exposure, more leads & more money
They want a Facebook cover that shows what they do, what services they offer & mainly their CTA, i.e their call to action & this is a major opportunity for you to cash in
Designing a Facebook cover isn’t rocket science, especially when you have the right tools & more importantly know how to use them

Here You won’t be designing Facebook covers for just their Facebook profile, you’ll be designing the Facebook covers for Facebook pages & Facebook groups as well
How To Get Started as A Freelancer Offering Facebook Cover Design Services
Where To Post Freelancing services?
There are tons of freelancing websites where you can post your service but for beginners, I would definitely recommend Fiverr
As you can see people are already getting orders for this particular freelancing job on Fiverr. so why look somewhere else
How To post Your Freelancing Service on Fiverr
- Go to Fiverr
- Click on Sign Up
- The process is pretty much simple & step by step, you won’t find anything difficult
- Now how to set up your seller account, I have already shared here, do read it How To Become A Seller On Fiverr -Freelancing Guide
How To Craft Your Gig To Get More Orders
Research is The Key
Go to the Fiverr Marketplace & check out your competition. Go through their gig & try to understand what is working
Read their description, their categories, their plans & prices & come up with something similar or better. remember similar not copy & paste
Be Real Be Direct
don’t use complicated words to make your gig fancy, if people don’t understand it they’ll ignore it
Also, Refrain from making promises that you know you can’t fulfill.
Be real, let them know what you can offer & how long it will take, if you make fake promises & don’t deliver it, You’ll get a bad reviews which can sink your freelancing career
Add On’s Can Add More Money
This is not compulsory but definitely a great trick to get more orders & that is to offer add-ons.
When there are many people offering professional facebook covers you can stand out by offering a Facebook cover & Facebook profile or maybe a social media template that suits their brand
These add-ons are pretty easy to create & can be a USP of your business. think about it
How To Design Professional Facebook Cover With No Experience
To design, I recommend a super easy, super amazing designing tool, any guesses? duh, Ik my readers know what tool I’m talking about. Yes! It is Canva
Almost 90% of my business designing gets done in Canva. It is like a magic wand for designing. anyone can use it & get awesome results without even having designing skills’
Also, Important update most of the freelancing gig ideas I’ll share in this freelancing series will require Canva. if you don’t have an account, create one now
With this link, you’ll also get Canva Pro free for 30days & if you follow the gigs I’ll be sharing here. You can definitely make good money from free canva pro to get paid canva pro
Anyway back on the track
First go to canva & Sign up
Once you create your canva account, go to the search bar & search for Facebook Cover
Now select the blank template & then when the black canvas is open, on your left side search for the templates
You can scroll through all the templates or if you have a particular niche search for it like – business, self-care, gym etc
Now Wait – Important Tips Here
Once you have the template, use it as a basic layout. use the color scheme requested by your client
add or remove graphics based on the relevance to your client’s niche
Always listen to your clients, honestly when you listen to your clients correctly you’ll have a basic idea even before you start designing
I have seen many freelancers do this, they overlook what their clients want & create a design they want
Remember you are not getting paid to create your best design, you’re getting paid to create a design that your client desires. No matter how amazing your design is,if your design is not what your clients want, they’ll reject it
Never Do These Mistakes While Designing Facebook Cover
Do Go Overboard
Don’t try to show all your creativity at once, keep the design simple, subtle & action-oriented.
Most of the time when people approach you to design their Facebook cover. they want to promote their business so focus on doing that – Highlight their work, their CTA
Use elements, and graphics that are relevant & complimenting their brand
Be Original
When I say use Canva Templates, I didn’t mean use it as it is.
Add your touch to it, play around with elements, colors, layers etc
Don’t Use Images & Graphics Which Are Copyright Protected
There are many templates & graphics available in canva with are only for Pro users. If you don’t have a pro account don’t use them because when you use & download the image, it will have a watermark that will not be accepted by your clients
Also NEVER get your images from Google Search itself, most of those images are subjected to copyright & if you use them it might land your client in trouble, serious trouble
If you want to know how to find copyright free images from google, watch this video
