YouTube Monetization 2023 – New Updates
Big Breaking News! Youtube Monetization Rules just changed & here is everything that you need to know.
Earlier if you wanted to get your youtube channel monetized then there were certain criteria that you have to meet such as – you need to have at least 1000 Subscribers, 4000 Watch Hours, or 10M shorts views in the past 90 days.
So, to help out & motivate small channels aka new creators YouTube has come up with a solution that will help small channels to start making money, at the same time this update is fair & won’t piss off, hurt, or be unfair to big creators who have worked really hard.
As per the new YouTube Monetization policy 2023 –
Starting today, channels with 500 subscribers, three public uploads in the last 90 days, and either 3,000 watch hours in the past year or 3 million shorts views in the last 90 days can monetize their content through fan funding.
Fan-funded monetization allows creators to earn revenue directly from their audience through methods like donations, memberships, and merch sales.
This not only will help small channels to make money but it will also push them to create valuable content.
As you won’t be earning from Ad Revenue but from the support & funds of your audience. and the best way to make more money from it is by being genuine & providing value.
You’ll be amazed at how generous & willing people can be to pay you when you actually give them content that will help them.
If you think you’ll just cash on by reusing & re-uploading viral content, think again!
As far as making money on youtube with ad revenue goes aka youtube partner program
creators still need to meet the previous requirements to earn ad revenue through AdSense.
This update is just to help the small channels to get started, motivate them & give them a sneak peek about what all is possible with yt monetization & how being a YouTuber can be a full-time real career.
Some people may be disappointed that ad revenue still requires meeting the previous requirements, but fan funding provides a valuable opportunity for small channels to monetize their content.
Of Course, Creators can still pursue brand-funded monetization options, such as
- brand collaborations,
- sponsorships,
- paid promotions,
- affiliate marketing,
- and advertising placements.
This just opens up a lot more new earning opportunities.
